Giving Back
Having been part of the Cornish community for over 240 years, we believe in giving back.
Each year, our staff select a local charity to receive our dedicated support. Fundraising takes place throughout the year via a mix of firm-wide events, including our annual charity golf day, cake sales, coffee mornings, and other creative initiatives. Not only do we raise vital funds for good causes, but we also enjoy coming together as a team to make a positive difference.
Our 2025 Charity: Cornwall Blood Bikes
This year we are proud to support Cornwall Blood Bikes, a team of self-funded volunteers who provide a free, out-of-hours medical courier service to the NHS across Cornwall. Using liveried motorcycles, they transport urgently needed blood, samples, medication, and other medical essentials between hospitals, clinics and hospices — all at no cost to the NHS.
Their service saves the NHS thousands of pounds each year in courier and taxi fees, allowing those funds to be used elsewhere in patient care. Every rider is an advanced motorcyclist who volunteers their time to help others, often without ever knowing the patients they are helping.

Our 2024 Charity: Macmillan Cancer Support
In 2024, our chosen charity was Macmillan Cancer Support – and what a year!
One of the highlights was our team’s participation in the Cornwall Mighty Hike, where eleven colleagues took on the challenge of walking 24.1 miles along the dramatic Cornish coastline. With an initial fundraising goal of £2,500, the team far exceeded expectations – raising an incredible £4,067, making them one of the top four fundraising teams for the entire event.
We are immensely proud of the commitment, compassion and team spirit shown by: Alana Marks, Alice Soulsby, Beth Hoskings, Chris Gilbert, Conor Phillips, Hannah Rosser, Kate Cooper, Leanne Symons, Lindsay Pennington, Sian Morley, and Sophie Hay.
Each step they took helped support people affected by cancer, funding vital services and offering hope to those facing the toughest of times. Their achievement is a lasting testament to the power of people coming together for a shared cause.
Additional fundraising activities – from bake sales to charity raffles – added to the total raised throughout the year, making 2024 a memorable and meaningful campaign.

One of the most consistent and well-loved features of our Giving Back calendar is the Nalders Charity Golf Day, now in its 15th year.
Supported year after year by clients, colleagues and local businesses, this much-anticipated event blends friendly competition with meaningful fundraising, all in support of our chosen charity. It is a day that brings people together, strengthens community ties, and raises vital funds for causes that matter.
